No hot spot in the middle, which is what I was worried about. Mounted it about five inches above the print and angled the head down. The brass is warm, not shiny gold.

Dimensions & care
Full dimensions are listed at the end of the Overview on every product page, taken from the finished piece rather than from a drawing. If a measurement matters for your space, write to us and we will check the actual item before it ships.
Care instructions ship with the product and are printed on the care label where there is one. Solid wood wants a damp cloth and an occasional oil; stone should be sealed once a year; wool and linen prefer a cold wash and drying flat.
Shipping & returns
Shipping is free on every order, with tracking, anywhere in the United States. We do not ship outside the US, so there are no customs charges or import duties on anything you order.
Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and most orders placed before 2pm ET leave the same day. Typical delivery is 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Tracking arrives by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.
Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging, with all fixings included. We cover the return shipping when an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement without asking for the broken one back.

Down the canvas, not back into the room
The tubular shade runs 18 inches and the arm swivels, so you can rake the light down the face of the work instead of bouncing it off the varnish at whoever is standing in front of it. Glare on a painting is an aiming problem, not a bulb problem.
Mounting it
Magnetic, so nothing runs behind the frame
The bracket screws to the wall and the light drops onto it magnetically. Lift it off to charge and put it back in the same position — there is no cable to hide down the back of the picture and no electrician to book.
Good to know
It stands 4 inches off the wall
Allow four inches of clearance in front of the frame. On a deep canvas or a heavy moulding, set the bracket high enough that the shade clears the top edge, or the light will graze the frame instead of the work.

Used the cord version
No power above the frame so I went with the plug-in kit that comes with it. Cord is visible if you look, but the art gained more than the wall lost.
Does it come with a bulb?
Most of our lamps take a standard E26 bulb and ship without one, so you choose the colour temperature rather than living with ours. The socket and the maximum wattage are listed under The details on every page. Anything with integrated LEDs says so and needs no bulb at all.
Can I put it on a dimmer?
Yes, on anything with a standard socket, as long as the bulb you fit is a dimmable one. Pieces with integrated LEDs have their own dimming built in and should not be wired to a wall dimmer.
Is there much assembly?
Very little. Floor and table lamps arrive in two or three parts that thread together by hand, no tools. Anything that wires into a ceiling box is marked on the page and should be fitted by an electrician.
What happens if the glass arrives broken?
Glass and ceramic ship double-boxed. If a piece still arrives broken, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement. You do not have to send the broken one back.
