Dimensions & care

Full dimensions are listed at the end of the Overview on every product page, taken from the finished piece rather than from a drawing. If a measurement matters for your space, write to us and we will check the actual item before it ships.

Care instructions ship with the product and are printed on the care label where there is one. Solid wood wants a damp cloth and an occasional oil; stone should be sealed once a year; wool and linen prefer a cold wash and drying flat.

Shipping & returns

Shipping is free on every order, with tracking, anywhere in the United States. We do not ship outside the US, so there are no customs charges or import duties on anything you order.

Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and most orders placed before 2pm ET leave the same day. Typical delivery is 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Tracking arrives by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.

Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging, with all fixings included. We cover the return shipping when an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement without asking for the broken one back.

Bath

Expands to fit the tub you actually have

Solid oak that slides from 27 to 40 inches, with rubber feet that grip the rim and a slot that holds a paperback open at the page.

Rubber feet

Grip the tub rim

Fit

Measure once, then stop worrying

The frame slides from 27 to 40 inches, which covers almost every standard tub made. You are not buying a caddy that turns out to be an inch short at either end.

Slots

A book open, or a tablet upright

The angled slot holds a paperback at the page or stands a tablet on end, and there is a separate ring so a glass has somewhere to go that is not the floor.

Finish

Oak, sealed for steam

Solid oak with a water-resistant finish and 9 inches of depth. Wipe it dry when you get out and the end grain will not grey the way untreated timber does.

Fits a tub I thought was an odd size

My tub is an awkward width and the frame slid out to about 36 inches with room left over. The rubber feet grip the rim so it does not creep while I am reaching for a glass.

The slot really does hold a book open

The angled slot keeps a paperback open at the page without me holding it down, and there is a separate ring for a glass. I wipe the oak dry afterwards and it still looks new.

Questions we get about this kind of piece

All FAQs
What is it made of, and will it survive a damp bathroom?

Every page names the material — stoneware, glass, teak, marble or cotton — rather than leaving it at "ceramic". All of it lives happily in a humid room with a little care: let wood dry between uses and re-oil it a couple of times a year, and re-seal stone once a year. What none of it likes is standing water, so nothing should sit in a permanent puddle.

Can towels and mats go in the machine?

Yes — warm wash, tumble on low. Wash new towels once before using them: the finish that makes towels look crisp on a shelf is also what stops them absorbing, and it rinses out on the first cycle.

Do the pieces match across the range?

Pieces in the same material and finish are made to sit together. Stone and wood vary from piece to piece by nature, so expect a close family rather than an exact match — that is the material, not a defect.

Can I return something I have used?

Thirty days, unused and in the original packaging. Once a towel or a mat has been washed or used we cannot take it back for hygiene reasons, so check the size on the page before ordering.
