The second cup tastes like the first
That was the entire reason I moved off a glass carafe on a hotplate. Nothing is quietly cooking it now. I brewed at seven and finished the last of it around twenty to eight, still hot and still tasting the same.

Full dimensions are listed at the end of the Overview on every product page, taken from the finished piece rather than from a drawing. If a measurement matters for your space, write to us and we will check the actual item before it ships.
Care instructions ship with the product and are printed on the care label where there is one. Solid wood wants a damp cloth and an occasional oil; stone should be sealed once a year; wool and linen prefer a cold wash and drying flat.
Shipping is free on every order, with tracking, anywhere in the United States. We do not ship outside the US, so there are no customs charges or import duties on anything you order.
Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and most orders placed before 2pm ET leave the same day. Typical delivery is 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Tracking arrives by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.
Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging, with all fixings included. We cover the return shipping when an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement without asking for the broken one back.
Kitchen & Dining
A double-wall carafe under a ceramic cone. Vacuum between the walls means the coffee you brewed at seven is still worth drinking at half past — without a hotplate underneath quietly stewing it.

WHY DOUBLE WALL
A glass carafe on a warmer keeps coffee hot by continuing to cook it, and that is where the flat, bitter second cup comes from. A vacuum wall keeps the heat that is already there and adds none of its own. The last cup tastes like the first because nothing happened to it in between.
THE CERAMIC CONE
A plastic cone drops temperature the instant water hits it, and brew temperature is most of what separates a rounded pour-over from a sour one. Ceramic warms through on the rinse and then holds steady from the bloom to the last pour.
THE ROUTINE
The cone seats on the mouth of the carafe and lifts straight off once the bed has drained, so you are never balancing a hot dripper on a mug. Rinse the paper and the cone with kettle water before you start. It costs ten seconds and it is most of the difference.
| Material | Double-wall insulated carafe, ceramic cone |
| Construction | Vacuum-walled carafe body |
| In the box | Carafe and pour-over cone |
| Filters | Takes a standard paper cone filter |
| Heat source | None needed; no hotplate, no burner |
| Care | Hand wash the cone, rinse the carafe warm |
| Note | Pre-rinse filter and cone with hot water |

I rinse the paper and the cone with kettle water first, like it says to. Against the plastic dripper I used before, the cup is noticeably rounder and much less sour at the finish.
Stoneware and glass are safe in both. Cast iron, wood and anything with a wooden handle should be washed by hand and dried straight away. Every product page states which applies to that piece.
We name it on every page — stoneware, borosilicate glass, cast iron, acacia or olive wood — instead of writing "ceramic" and leaving it there. Glazes are food-safe and lead-free, and the non-stick coatings are PFOA-free.
Cast iron and anything with a magnetic base does. If a page does not mention induction, treat it as gas and electric only, or ask us and we will check the actual base. A non-stick surface lasts for years if you keep it off high heat, out of the dishwasher and away from metal utensils.
