Dimensions & care
Full dimensions are listed at the end of the Overview on every product page, taken from the finished piece rather than from a drawing. If a measurement matters for your space, write to us and we will check the actual item before it ships.
Care instructions ship with the product and are printed on the care label where there is one. Solid wood wants a damp cloth and an occasional oil; stone should be sealed once a year; wool and linen prefer a cold wash and drying flat.
Shipping & returns
Shipping is free on every order, with tracking, anywhere in the United States. We do not ship outside the US, so there are no customs charges or import duties on anything you order.
Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and most orders placed before 2pm ET leave the same day. Typical delivery is 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Tracking arrives by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.
Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging, with all fixings included. We cover the return shipping when an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement without asking for the broken one back.

A printed grid wears off along the traffic line within a year. Here the pattern is two different pile heights, so it is structural. It reads as texture catching the light rather than as a colour laid on top.
COLOUR
Undyed is why it holds
The ivory is the wool's own colour, not a bleach or a dye sitting on the fibre. There is nothing in it for sunlight to lift, which matters a great deal on a rug this size in a bright room.
SHEDDING
It will shed, then it will stop
Every new wool rug releases loose fibre left over from spinning. Expect a few weeks of extra vacuuming, after which it settles and stays put. A pad is worth ordering at the same time.

The grid is texture, not print
From across the room it reads as plain ivory and only up close do you see the two pile heights making the grid. Because it is undyed wool rather than bleached, our west facing room has not faded a corner of it in two months. The 8 by 10 fits our sofa and both chairs with front legs on.
It sheds for about three weeks, then it stops
The listing tells you this and it is accurate, but I was still emptying the vacuum more than usual for the first month. It has settled completely now and the half inch pile still looks new. Buy the pad at the same time, an 8 by 10 this heavy still creeps without one.
Will a new rug shed?
A wool rug sheds for the first two to four weeks — that is loose fibre working out of the weave, not the rug coming apart. Vacuum with the beater bar off and it settles down on its own.
How do I wash it?
Linen and cotton take a cold machine wash and dry flat or on low heat. Wool prefers spot cleaning and one professional clean a year. The care label is sewn into the item and the full instructions sit under Dimensions & care.
Do I need a rug pad?
On a hard floor, yes. It stops the rug creeping underfoot, adds a lot of comfort and keeps the backing from grinding against the boards. On carpet it is optional.
Are the colours true to the photos?
We photograph on neutral backgrounds without boosting saturation, but screens differ and natural fibres take dye unevenly by nature — that variation is part of the material, not a fault. If the shade is wrong for your room you have 30 days.
