Dimensions & care

Full dimensions are listed at the end of the Overview on every product page, taken from the finished piece rather than from a drawing. If a measurement matters for your space, write to us and we will check the actual item before it ships.

Care instructions ship with the product and are printed on the care label where there is one. Solid wood wants a damp cloth and an occasional oil; stone should be sealed once a year; wool and linen prefer a cold wash and drying flat.

Shipping & returns

Shipping is free on every order, with tracking, anywhere in the United States. We do not ship outside the US, so there are no customs charges or import duties on anything you order.

Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and most orders placed before 2pm ET leave the same day. Typical delivery is 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Tracking arrives by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.

Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging, with all fixings included. We cover the return shipping when an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement without asking for the broken one back.

Ceramic that still releases an egg a year in

Ten inches of PFOA-free ceramic nonstick. Most ceramic pans are dead inside six months because of how they are treated, not what they are made of — so here is exactly how to keep this one working.

Ceramic Nonstick Fry Pan - 10 in

10 inches

Two eggs or one fillet

PFOA-free

Ceramic, not PTFE

Medium heat

Where the coating lives

Clean release

Very little fat needed

WHY CERAMIC PANS FAIL

Almost always heat, almost never the pan

Ceramic nonstick is a fired silica coating. It releases beautifully and it hates being run empty over a high flame, which is precisely what people do while preheating. Keep it on medium, put the fat in before the pan is hot, and the surface behaves at twelve months the way it did in week one.

WHAT IS NOT IN IT

PFOA-free, and no PTFE surface

No PFOA anywhere in the manufacture, and the release layer is ceramic rather than PTFE. For a pan you cook eggs in three mornings a week, that is worth knowing as a fact rather than assuming from a marketing badge.

THE SIZE, AND THE UTENSILS

Ten inches is the everyday pan

Wide enough for two eggs that do not run into each other, or one fish fillet with room to slide a turner underneath. Small enough that it does not overhang the burner and scorch at the rim. Use silicone, wood or nylon — a metal turner scores ceramic, and once it is scored there is no recovering it.

The details

Size 10 in
Coating Ceramic nonstick, PFOA-free
Heat Medium; never preheat the pan dry
Utensils Silicone, wood or nylon only
Care Hand wash; let it cool before it meets water
Note Thermal shock is what kills ceramic coatings

Overstock pricing, full retail quality

This is finished stock from the same production runs that supply larger homeware retailers — bought as a lot, priced without the showroom margin. Same piece, same materials. When the lot is gone we cannot always reorder.

Eggs still slide months later

I have kept it on medium and never once preheated it dry, exactly as instructed, and it releases the same as it did the first week. Two eggs fit in the 10 inch without running into each other.

Silicone turner only, learn from me

I have wrecked two ceramic pans before with a metal spatula. Went silicone from day one with this and there is not a single score line in the coating. A salmon fillet fits with room to get underneath it.

Questions we get about this kind of piece

All FAQs
Is it dishwasher and microwave safe?

Stoneware and glass are safe in both. Cast iron, wood and anything with a wooden handle should be washed by hand and dried straight away. Every product page states which applies to that piece.

What is it actually made of?

We name it on every page — stoneware, borosilicate glass, cast iron, acacia or olive wood — instead of writing "ceramic" and leaving it there. Glazes are food-safe and lead-free, and the non-stick coatings are PFOA-free.

Do the pans work on induction?

Cast iron and anything with a magnetic base does. If a page does not mention induction, treat it as gas and electric only, or ask us and we will check the actual base. A non-stick surface lasts for years if you keep it off high heat, out of the dishwasher and away from metal utensils.

Why is it so much cheaper than retail?

This is finished stock from the same production runs that supply larger homeware retailers, bought as a lot and priced without the showroom margin. Same piece, same materials, same factory. When a lot is gone we cannot always reorder it.
