Full dimensions are listed at the end of the Overview on every product page, taken from the finished piece rather than from a drawing. If a measurement matters for your space, write to us and we will check the actual item before it ships.
Care instructions ship with the product and are printed on the care label where there is one. Solid wood wants a damp cloth and an occasional oil; stone should be sealed once a year; wool and linen prefer a cold wash and drying flat.
Shipping & returns
Shipping is free on every order, with tracking, anywhere in the United States. We do not ship outside the US, so there are no customs charges or import duties on anything you order.
Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and most orders placed before 2pm ET leave the same day. Typical delivery is 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Tracking arrives by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.
Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging, with all fixings included. We cover the return shipping when an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement without asking for the broken one back.

Solid oak under a clear matte finish rather than a stain, so you see the grain instead of a colour laid over it. The taper is what keeps a 58 inch lamp from reading heavy in a corner.
The light

An 18 inch drum pushes light down and outward across a chair rather than up a narrow column. Beside a wingback it lights the page and the floor around it at the same time.

Solid wood moves with the room
Oak shifts a little with the seasons, so if the lamp ever starts to rock, snug the leg fixings back down with the key that comes in the box. It takes ten seconds and it is the only maintenance this lamp asks for.

Stable on a rug
Three legs splay wide enough that it does not rock on a thick pile. Shade is broad so it lights a reading chair on its own rather than making a spotlight.
Does it come with a bulb?
Most of our lamps take a standard E26 bulb and ship without one, so you choose the colour temperature rather than living with ours. The socket and the maximum wattage are listed under The details on every page. Anything with integrated LEDs says so and needs no bulb at all.
Can I put it on a dimmer?
Yes, on anything with a standard socket, as long as the bulb you fit is a dimmable one. Pieces with integrated LEDs have their own dimming built in and should not be wired to a wall dimmer.
Is there much assembly?
Very little. Floor and table lamps arrive in two or three parts that thread together by hand, no tools. Anything that wires into a ceiling box is marked on the page and should be fitted by an electrician.
What happens if the glass arrives broken?
Glass and ceramic ship double-boxed. If a piece still arrives broken, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement. You do not have to send the broken one back.
