Dimensions & care

Full dimensions are listed at the end of the Overview on every product page, taken from the finished piece rather than from a drawing. If a measurement matters for your space, write to us and we will check the actual item before it ships.

Care instructions ship with the product and are printed on the care label where there is one. Solid wood wants a damp cloth and an occasional oil; stone should be sealed once a year; wool and linen prefer a cold wash and drying flat.

Shipping & returns

Shipping is free on every order, with tracking, anywhere in the United States. We do not ship outside the US, so there are no customs charges or import duties on anything you order.

Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and most orders placed before 2pm ET leave the same day. Typical delivery is 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Tracking arrives by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.

Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging, with all fixings included. We cover the return shipping when an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement without asking for the broken one back.

Teak, so it can stay outside all year without a plan

A slatted round top sixteen inches across, on three splayed legs at eighteen inches high. Teak carries its own oil, which is why it weathers rather than rots.

WHY TEAK

The oil is already in the wood

Teak grows with a high natural oil content, which is why boat builders use it bare. Water beads on the surface instead of soaking into the grain, so a stand left out through a winter does not swell, split, or go soft at the feet where it meets the paving.

SILVER OR HONEY

You choose by doing nothing

Left alone, teak greys to a soft silver over a season or two. That is surface oxidation, not decay — the wood underneath is unchanged and just as strong. Wipe teak oil on twice a year instead and it holds the honey colour it arrives in.

THE LEGS

Three, splayed, on purpose

Three legs sit flat on an uneven flagstone where four would rock and need a shim. Splaying them widens the footprint, so a 40 lb pot at eighteen inches has a base under it rather than a pedestal.

Sat out all winter and it is still solid

The teak did exactly what teak does, silvered over and otherwise carried on. The three splayed legs sit flat on my uneven bluestone where a four-legged table used to rock on the same spot.

★★★★★

Five minutes and a heavy pot

Three legs on and it was done, no instructions needed. It is carrying a planter close to the 40 lb limit and there is no wobble at all at eighteen inches up.

Questions we get about this kind of piece

All FAQs
Can it stay outside all year?

Powder-coated metal and teak handle a full season outdoors without complaint. Through winter, cover the piece or bring the lighter items and cushions inside. What each piece is rated for is on its page.

Will teak go grey?

Yes, and that is normal. Untreated teak weathers to a silver-grey within a season without losing any strength — the colour change is on the surface. Oil it once or twice a season if you would rather keep the honey tone.

Are the outdoor lights safe in rain?

Anything listed for outdoor use is rated for it and the rating is on the page. Solar and battery pieces need no wiring at all; anything that plugs in needs an outdoor-rated socket, not an extension run out through a window.

What happens to cushions if they get wet?

The fabric is water-resistant, not waterproof. A shower runs off and they dry quickly, but a cushion put away damp will mildew from the inside out. Stand them on edge to dry before storing.
