Solid oak, not veneer
You can tell as soon as you unbox it. The edge is real wood all the way through and it took five minutes to put together. Three legs means it does not rock on my old floors.

Full dimensions are listed at the end of the Overview on every product page, taken from the finished piece rather than from a drawing. If a measurement matters for your space, write to us and we will check the actual item before it ships.
Care instructions ship with the product and are printed on the care label where there is one. Solid wood wants a damp cloth and an occasional oil; stone should be sealed once a year; wool and linen prefer a cold wash and drying flat.
Shipping is free on every order, with tracking, anywhere in the United States. We do not ship outside the US, so there are no customs charges or import duties on anything you order.
Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and most orders placed before 2pm ET leave the same day. Typical delivery is 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Tracking arrives by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.
Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging, with all fixings included. We cover the return shipping when an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement without asking for the broken one back.
Furniture
Eighteen inches across, twenty high, and flat on a floor that is not.

MATERIAL
Veneer chips and there is nothing underneath to repair. This is solid white oak through the full thickness, so a knocked edge sands out and takes the clear matte finish again.
GEOMETRY
Four legs need a level floor to sit still, which is why every four-legged table in an old house rocks. Three always find the same plane. It is the reason this one does not need a folded card under it.
SCALE
At 18 inches across it fits beside an armchair without crowding the arm, and 20 inches high lands within reach of a seated hand.

Our 1890s floors are not level anywhere and every four-legged table we have owned rocks. This one sits dead flat because of the three-leg base. At 18 inches across it tucks beside the armchair without crowding it, and 20 inches is exactly right for reaching a mug.
Legs on, table done, no instructions needed. It is genuinely solid white oak rather than a printed veneer, which I confirmed the hard way when a chair back scuffed the edge and I sanded it out with fine paper. A lamp and a stack of books is well under the 40 lb rating.
Part-assembled. The hardware and an Allen key are in the box and most pieces are four to eight bolts. The number of steps and the rough assembly time are on each product page.
Check the boxed dimensions in The details before you order, not just the assembled ones — a doorway or a stair turn is what usually catches people out, and larger tops ship as a single slab. If a measurement is borderline, write to us and we will measure the actual item before it leaves.
Larger pieces are delivered to your door. Carriers do not carry items upstairs, into a particular room, unpack them or take the packaging away, so line up a second pair of hands for anything heavy.
Where a page says solid oak or solid acacia, it is solid through the whole thickness, not veneer over board. Grain and tone vary from piece to piece because the wood does; we do not photograph a stained sample and ship something else.
