Dimensions & care
Full dimensions are listed at the end of the Overview on every product page, taken from the finished piece rather than from a drawing. If a measurement matters for your space, write to us and we will check the actual item before it ships.
Care instructions ship with the product and are printed on the care label where there is one. Solid wood wants a damp cloth and an occasional oil; stone should be sealed once a year; wool and linen prefer a cold wash and drying flat.
Shipping & returns
Shipping is free on every order, with tracking, anywhere in the United States. We do not ship outside the US, so there are no customs charges or import duties on anything you order.
Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and most orders placed before 2pm ET leave the same day. Typical delivery is 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Tracking arrives by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.
Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging, with all fixings included. We cover the return shipping when an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement without asking for the broken one back.

Most fabric boxes are cut to a rounded number and either rattle in the opening or refuse to go in at all. These are sized to the standard cube shelving aperture, so they sit flush at the front.
Structure
Rigid frame, soft face
Canvas stretched over an internal frame: the walls stay square with nothing inside them, and the lid sits down properly instead of bowing in the middle.

Leather pull tabs rather than sewn fabric loops, which is what you want when the box lives above eye level and you are pulling it down one-handed.

Leather tabs, not fabric loops
They live above eye level so I am always pulling them down one-handed, and the leather tabs take that without stretching out. The rigid frame keeps the walls square when they are empty.
How much weight will a shelf hold?
The load rating is printed on each product page. It assumes the fixings have gone into studs, or into the correct anchor for your wall — in practice it is almost always the wall that gives way rather than the shelf, so find the studs before you drill.
Are the wall fixings included?
Yes, with standard drywall anchors. Plaster, brick and tile each need a different fixing and we do not supply those, because the wrong anchor in masonry is worse than none.
Are the dimensions internal or external?
External, unless the page says otherwise. Where a piece is built to hold something specific — files, records, shoes — we list the internal measurement as well so you can check before ordering.
How do I clean a woven basket?
A damp cloth and then air drying. Do not soak or submerge a woven piece: the fibres swell, and as they dry the weave loosens and never fully tightens back.
