Kitchen window straight over refinished boards, and with the plug in there has been no drip at all. The cotton cradle is knotted very neatly too, no fringe hanging off it, which is exactly what I was after.

Care instructions ship with the product and are printed on the care label where there is one. Solid wood wants a damp cloth and an occasional oil; stone should be sealed once a year; wool and linen prefer a cold wash and drying flat.
Shipping & returns
Shipping is free on every order, with tracking, anywhere in the United States. We do not ship outside the US, so there are no customs charges or import duties on anything you order.
Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and most orders placed before 2pm ET leave the same day. Typical delivery is 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Tracking arrives by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.
Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging, with all fixings included. We cover the return shipping when an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement without asking for the broken one back.

Knotted by hand in undyed cotton, but kept to a plain cradle rather than the tiered fringe and beadwork that dates a room to 1974. It reads as rope holding a pot, which is exactly what it is.

The plug is the reason this works indoors
The pot is drilled and ships with a removable plug. Seal it, water in smaller amounts, and nothing drips onto the boards underneath. Pull the plug on a porch and it drains normally. Trailing plants are the point of a hanging pot, and they usually live inside.
HANGING IT
One hook, thirty-two inches of drop
It takes a single ceiling hook, which is in the box. Thirty-two inches from hook to base clears a head in a window bay and gives a pothos or a string of hearts somewhere to fall without brushing the sill.

The 32 inch drop suits a bay window
My pothos trails well past the sill without ever brushing it. The ceiling hook came in the box, which saved me a trip to the hardware store on a Sunday.
Can it stay outside all year?
Powder-coated metal and teak handle a full season outdoors without complaint. Through winter, cover the piece or bring the lighter items and cushions inside. What each piece is rated for is on its page.
Will teak go grey?
Yes, and that is normal. Untreated teak weathers to a silver-grey within a season without losing any strength — the colour change is on the surface. Oil it once or twice a season if you would rather keep the honey tone.
Are the outdoor lights safe in rain?
Anything listed for outdoor use is rated for it and the rating is on the page. Solar and battery pieces need no wiring at all; anything that plugs in needs an outdoor-rated socket, not an extension run out through a window.
What happens to cushions if they get wet?
The fabric is water-resistant, not waterproof. A shower runs off and they dry quickly, but a cushion put away damp will mildew from the inside out. Stand them on edge to dry before storing.
