Care instructions ship with the product and are printed on the care label where there is one. Solid wood wants a damp cloth and an occasional oil; stone should be sealed once a year; wool and linen prefer a cold wash and drying flat.

Shipping is free on every order, with tracking, anywhere in the United States. We do not ship outside the US, so there are no customs charges or import duties on anything you order.
Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and most orders placed before 2pm ET leave the same day. Typical delivery is 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Tracking arrives by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.
Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging, with all fixings included. We cover the return shipping when an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement without asking for the broken one back.

Two dimensions do the whole job
The port is deliberately narrow. Finches, tits and sparrows land on the perch and reach straight in; pigeons and starlings cannot get purchase or a head through. Keeping the big birds off is usually the entire request people make of a feeder, and it is a matter of geometry rather than a gadget.

One winter tells you which you bought
Plastic feeders chalk in the sun and go green in the damp, because algae takes hold in the surface. Fired ceramic wipes clean, has no pores to colonise, and does not turn brittle in a frost. It is heavier, so hang it from a branch or bracket that will genuinely take it.

A pound at a time, on cotton rope
It holds about a pound of seed, which is roughly a week in a busy garden. That is deliberate: a smaller reservoir means the seed never sits long enough to clump or spoil in a wet spell. Cotton rope hanger for a branch or a shepherd's crook.

Still properly white
My last plastic feeder went chalky and green inside one season. This one washes out with hot water once a month and looks new. It is genuinely heavy, so hang it off a branch that will take it.
Can it stay outside all year?
Powder-coated metal and teak handle a full season outdoors without complaint. Through winter, cover the piece or bring the lighter items and cushions inside. What each piece is rated for is on its page.
Will teak go grey?
Yes, and that is normal. Untreated teak weathers to a silver-grey within a season without losing any strength — the colour change is on the surface. Oil it once or twice a season if you would rather keep the honey tone.
Are the outdoor lights safe in rain?
Anything listed for outdoor use is rated for it and the rating is on the page. Solar and battery pieces need no wiring at all; anything that plugs in needs an outdoor-rated socket, not an extension run out through a window.
What happens to cushions if they get wet?
The fabric is water-resistant, not waterproof. A shower runs off and they dry quickly, but a cushion put away damp will mildew from the inside out. Stand them on edge to dry before storing.
