Braided Jute Runner
Full dimensions are listed at the end of the Overview on every product page, taken from the finished piece rather than from a drawing. If a measurement matters for your space, write to us and we will check the actual item before it ships.
Care instructions ship with the product and are printed on the care label where there is one. Solid wood wants a damp cloth and an occasional oil; stone should be sealed once a year; wool and linen prefer a cold wash and drying flat.
Shipping is free on every order, with tracking, anywhere in the United States. We do not ship outside the US, so there are no customs charges or import duties on anything you order.
Orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and most orders placed before 2pm ET leave the same day. Typical delivery is 7 to 15 days from dispatch. Tracking arrives by email as soon as the carrier scans the parcel.
Thirty days to return anything unused and in its original packaging, with all fixings included. We cover the return shipping when an item is faulty, damaged or not what you ordered. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the item and the outer box within 7 days and we ship a replacement without asking for the broken one back.

Two and a half by eight feet, reversible, four tenths of an inch thick.
THICKNESS
At four tenths of an inch it passes under a standard interior door and does not ruck into a ridge when the door swings across it. A softer, thicker runner in the same spot will.
REVERSIBLE
The braid is worked identically on both faces. When the doorway end starts to show, you turn the whole runner over and effectively start again.
WEAR
Natural fibre takes a deeper tone where feet land most. In a hallway that reads as age rather than damage, which is what you want in the busiest strip of floor in the house.

This is finished stock from the same production runs that supply larger homeware retailers — bought as a lot, priced without the showroom margin. Same piece, same materials. When the lot is gone we cannot always reorder.
Verified buyers
At four tenths of an inch it clears our front door and does not ruck up into a ridge the way a softer runner did. The braid is thick and stiff enough to hold its line down eight feet of hallway. It has already darkened slightly at the door end, which suits it.
Being genuinely reversible is the reason I chose this one, and turning it over evened out the wear at the doorway end. I vacuum it with the beater bar off as instructed and the jute has not fuzzed at all. Two and a half feet wide leaves a border of floor either side of our hall.
A wool rug sheds for the first two to four weeks — that is loose fibre working out of the weave, not the rug coming apart. Vacuum with the beater bar off and it settles down on its own.
Linen and cotton take a cold machine wash and dry flat or on low heat. Wool prefers spot cleaning and one professional clean a year. The care label is sewn into the item and the full instructions sit under Dimensions & care.
On a hard floor, yes. It stops the rug creeping underfoot, adds a lot of comfort and keeps the backing from grinding against the boards. On carpet it is optional.
We photograph on neutral backgrounds without boosting saturation, but screens differ and natural fibres take dye unevenly by nature — that variation is part of the material, not a fault. If the shade is wrong for your room you have 30 days.
